HOPE

What is it? How can I find it? How do we share it?

We would see HOPE, generally as something we wish for or want to happen.

However, the Bible definition is the confident expectation in what God can do, not a future outcome.

We aren't hoping for something to be complete, we are instead 100% expecting it to be complete.

It is real, something we can cling to that is not out of our reach, like grasping onto a rope, knowing it will hold you.

See the difference?

What is this HOPE?

It is the HOPE of Good News

It is the HOPE of eternal life

It is the HOPE of no longer being apart from God

It is the HOPE of forgiveness of our sins

It is the HOPE that Jesus Christ is the only way, not because of what we have done but because of what he has done.

H = Yellow for Heaven, place of purity and perfection where God is.

O = Black for our sin that keeps us apart from God.

P = Red for Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sin and rose again 3 days later.

E = White for forgiveness and purity when we trust in Jesus alone for our salvation from sin.

Share the HOPE we have in = Green for the things that helps us grow in our new life with God. Praying, reading the Bible, going to church and telling others.

Border = Blue for the committment/choice we each have to make

Titus 3:3 -7

For in the past we were foolish, hard in heart, turned from the true way, servants of evil desires and pleasures, living in bad feeling and envy, hated and hating one another.

But when the mercy of God our Saviour, and his love to man was seen,
not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but in the measure of his mercy, he gave us salvation, through the washing of the new birth and the giving of new life in the Holy Spirit, which he gave us freely through Jesus Christ our Saviour; so that, having been given righteousness through grace, we might have a part in the heritage, the hope of eternal life.
